We are beyond excited to welcome Chisom Christabel Idoko to The People’s Project for Social and Climate Justice as the Communications Officer for Project HOPE!
Chisom is a dynamic and passionate development communication expert whose work sits at the intersection of healthcare, advocacy, and creative expression. With a deep commitment to gender equity, health justice, and human rights, she brings a wealth of experience in designing advocacy strategies that drive real change.
Her background in Medical Laboratory Science has seen her work extensively in HIV prevention and care, contributing to life-saving programs with leading organizations like Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) and Catholic Caritas Foundation Nigeria (CCFN). Her expertise also extends to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), where she actively champions comprehensive healthcare, reproductive rights, and gender equality. Her commitment to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) drives her efforts in ensuring girls in rural communities have access to comprehensive health education and reproductive rights, empowering them with the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about their well-being.
Beyond healthcare, Chisom is a trained paralegal with a strong focus on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), human rights, and legal empowerment. She is dedicated to bridging the gap between law, healthcare, and advocacy, ensuring that marginalized populations have access to justice, resources, and the support they deserve.
Now, as the Communications Officer for Project HOPE, Chisom is set to leverage her expertise in law and healthcare to drive impactful storytelling, amplify voices, and advance policy advocacy that brings about real social change for girls and children with disabilities we serve. She is a fierce advocate, a strategic communicator, and a change-maker at heart.
But beyond her work in advocacy, Chisom is also a talented seamstress, using creativity as a tool for self-expression and empowerment, a true testament to her resilience, passion, and purpose.
With Chisom on board, Project HOPE is set to reach new heights in its mission to empower communities, challenge inequalities, and create a more just world for girls and children with disabilities. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome to The People’s Project family!
