Putting Girls and Children with Disabilities First

Ensuring that girls and young people with disabilities are not left behind - through inclusion, education, equal play & opportunities.

Millions of girls and children with disabilities are denied their fundamental rights to education and equal opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

They are more likely to be living in poverty, four times more likely to experience violence and abuse, and are twice as likely to never attend school.

We are using sports and education as tools to empower girls and children with disabilities.

No society truly blooms if all of its members are not included, and half of those members are women and girls.
Our goal is to reduce barriers, improve learning outcomes, promote sports & provide equal opportunities for all children.

Our Impact

How we are Bridging the Gap

Our focus areas

Education

Education is a right, yet in many of the communities we serve, girls are often the first to be denied it. At HOPE, we believe that educating girls is one of the most powerful ways to  build stronger, more prosperous nations.

Health and Well-being

HOPE’s revolutionary model brings health services to the doorsteps of those who need it most, transforms and sustains strong health systems where every person has fast access to the highest quality health care.

Girls' Empowerment

HOPE empowers girls to lead and end poverty, while holding the power to create opportunities for themselves and their communities.

Equal Play: Sport for Inclusion

Everyone deserves to experience the physical, mental, and social benefits of movement, no matter their disability or gender. We believe sport, when used intentionally, is a powerful tool for bridging divides and building a more inclusive, peaceful, and prosperous society.

Led by Our Values

Collaboration unifies us through connection, kindness and trust. We actively engage communities, stakeholders and children themselves to create a powerful force that drives systemic change.

We have a growth mindset towards all children. We bring together a collective tapestry of voices and experiences to ensure everyone has an equal chance to participate.

We listen, learn, and empower. We tailor our programs by putting the community and families it impacts at the center. This means actively engaging with them to understand their needs and working together to create solutions.

We tackle urgent, complex social problems at the systems level because our hope for a just society is at stake. We work in the service of real, lasting solutions leading to systemic change.

EVERY CHILD MATTERS HERE.

When we look into the eyes of these children, we see not just faces, but our HOPES for the future. These faces remind us why we're here. Their smiles, their dreams, and their determination fuel our passion to make a difference. It's for them that we do what we do.

More than 120 million girls are out of school today.

Donate today to keep girls and children with disabilities learning during and after the global crisis.

The fight for girls' education won't be won by girls alone.
