Putting Girls and Children with Disabilities First

Ensuring that girls and young people with disabilities are not left behind - through inclusion, education, equal play & opportunities.

57 million girls and children with disabilities are denied their fundamental rights to education and equal opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

They are more likely to be living in poverty, four times more likely to experience violence and abuse, and are twice as likely to never attend school.

We are working to create a future where girls and children with disabilities can reach their full potential.

Our goal is to reduce barriers, improve learning outcomes, create equitable healthcare access, promote sports & provide equal opportunities for all children.

Our Impact

How we are Bridging the Gap

Our focus areas

Education

Education is not freely available to everyone – and in many parts of where we work, girls are the first to be excluded from it. At HOPE, we believe that investing in girls’ education is a proven way of improving the health and wealth of entire nations, and empowering millions of lives.

Health and Well-being

HOPE’s revolutionary model brings health services to the doorsteps of those who need it most, transforms and sustains strong health systems where every person has fast access to the highest quality health care.

Girls Empowerment

HOPE empowers girls to become leaders in their communities and beyond. By building a vibrant community of girls and young women, we’re empowering girls to lead and end poverty, while holding the power to create opportunities for themselves and their communities.

Equal Play: Sport for Inclusion

Everyone should be able to experience the incredible physical, mental and social benefits movement brings – regardless of disability. We believe that when used with intention, sport is an innovative, powerful and unique tool that can bridge divides and foster a more inclusive, peaceful and prosperous society.

Led by Our Values

Collaboration unifies us through connection, kindness and trust. We actively engage communities, stakeholders and children themselves to create a powerful force that drives systemic change.

We have a growth mindset towards all children. We bring together a collective tapestry of voices and experiences to ensure everyone has an equal chance to participate.

We listen, learn, and empower. We tailor our programs by putting the community and families it impacts at the center. This means actively engaging with them to understand their needs and working together to create solutions.

We tackle urgent, complex social problems at the systems level because our hope for a just society is at stake. We work in the service of real, lasting solutions leading to systemic change.

Faces of Hope

When we look into the eyes of these children, we see not just faces, but the future. These faces remind us why we're here. Their smiles, their dreams, and their determination fuel our passion to make a difference. It's for them that we do what we do.

More than 120 million girls are out of school today.

Donate today to keep girls and children with disabilities learning during and after the global crisis.

The fight for girls' education won't be won by girls alone.
